Kathmandu, Oct 7: Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat, today left for Thailand to take part in the 2nd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit.
The Nepali delegation headed by Minister Mahat will take part in the summit being held from October 8 to 10 in Bangkok.
Foreign Minister Mahat along with Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, Nepali Ambassador to Thaialand, Khagnath Adhikari and Joint Secretary Mani Prasad Bhattarai will take part in the Summit.
Minister Mahat will address the summit taking place under the theme, 'One Asia, Diverse Strengths'. The summit will hold discussion on and adopt Bangkok Declaration Paper, ACD Vision for Asia Cooperation 2030 and ACD Statement on Reigniting Growth through Partnership for Connectivity.
The ACD was established in June 2002 with an aim to promote regional cooperation in Asia. Nepal is ACD's 34th member state. Minister Mahat will return home on October 11. RSS
